On April 16th, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between China SINOMACH Automobile and China EVE Energy Co., Ltd. was held in Tianjin.
China Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. and China Automotive Engineering Corporation, affiliated enterprises of China SINOMACH Automobile, simultaneously signed a Battery Circulation Chain Project Cooperation Agreement and an Engineering Project Cooperation Agreement with EVE.
The simultaneous signing by the three parties marks the start of a new chapter of comprehensive, multi-level and wide-ranging industrial collaboration between the leading central enterprise in the full-chain automotive services and the global leader in the lithium battery industry.
It is reported that this strategic cooperation is based on the resource endowments and industrial advantages of both parties, focusing on in-depth cooperation in seven areas to build a long-term and stable strategic partnership.
Two key cooperation projects were launched simultaneously at the signing site: China Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. signed a battery circulation chain project cooperation agreement of approximately 3GWh with China EVE, aiming to jointly build a large-scale and professional new energy battery circulation and service system by taking the "Battery Home" platform as the starting point;
China Automotive Engineering Corporation signed an overseas energy storage battery factory project cooperation agreement with China EVE, providing full-process engineering and technical support for its global capacity layout.
Previously, a subsidiary of China EVE also signed a 5-year battery supply agreement with Godawari New Energy (GNEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of India's GPIL, which will be used to support the construction of the first phase of GNEPL's planned 20GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing project.
Notably, EVE is currently accelerating rapidly in the energy storage track, investing 23 billion yuan in expansion within just 11 days; since 2026, China EVE has planned a total investment of over 23 billion yuan, with a cumulative construction scale of 230GWh energy storage battery projects.
On the evening of April 7th, EVE issued an announcement stating that it intends to sign an "Investment Cooperation Agreement" with the Qidong Municipal Government regarding the company's investment in the construction of a 50GWh energy storage and power battery production base in Qidong Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total project investment of approximately 5 billion yuan.
On the same day, EVE issued another announcement saying that it intends to sign an "Investment Agreement for EVE Energy Storage Battery Production Base Project" with the Shanghang Municipal Government, and a "Joint Venture Agreement" with LONGKING.
The company plans to jointly invest with LONGKING to establish a joint venture company, which will invest in the construction of an annual 60GWh energy storage battery production base in Baisha New Materials Science and Technology Innovation Valley, Shanghang, Fujian Province, with a planned total project investment of approximately 6 billion yuan.
